Try to make fresh sauce when you can. Bottled sauces are filled with salt, sugar and preservatives. Fresh sauce saves you chemicals and calories!
Here I've made fresh tomato sauce with San Marzano tomatoes, garlic, basil and parsley.
Made in 30 minutes are less.
Steps:
-Start with 5 of your favorite ripe plum tomatoes (the softer, the better)
-Peel them
-Chop them up
-Throw it into a blender & make smooth
-Empty the sauce into a pot & bring to a boil
-Add in 5 cloves of minced garlic
-Add in 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
-Add in 1 tablespoon oregano
-Add in 1 tspn rosemary
-Add in 1 tspn parsley
-Stir it up
-Simmer for 5 mins
-Add in salt & pepper to taste
